We offer opportunities for both law students and school pupils to gain work experience with the Firm.
Work Placements for Law Students
Our work placements for law students take place in the summer period each year. These placements are open to 3rd, 4th and Diploma year law students. They offer the opportunity for up to a maximum of 6 students to spend two weeks in our Aberdeen office. During the placement each student is assigned to one or two of our Teams. Students will be given an introduction to the type of work dealt with in that practice area. They will be given an opportunity to carry out research and drafting, attend training and, where possible, to attend client meetings with our fee earners. This is an ideal opportunity to gain an insight into the culture of our law firm and the type of work that you may do as a trainee solicitor.
We will be running our work placement scheme in June 2024. Applications for the scheme should be submitted to placements@stronachs.com by Friday 29 March 2024, the application form can be found here.
Work Placements for School Pupils
Stronachs also offers school pupils across Aberdeen City and Shire the opportunity to complete a placement week with us in our Aberdeen office and gain an introduction to working life at a full-service law firm.
This program is open to school pupils in their secondary education from third year onwards and runs from January to June, each year. Please contact Nicola Cooke at nicola.cooke@stronachs.com for more information.
