David Sheach specialises in oil and gas law and corporate law.  He has over 20 years experience of corporate acquisition and disposal activity, equity investment, banking, ship finance and oil and gas work.  David is listed as a recommended oil and gas lawyer in the 2009 Edition of the Legal 500 and "is praised for his calm, considerate approach and ability to finalise a complex completion process with a tight time schedule" (Chambers UK Guide to the UK Legal Profession 2010).  
 
David is a contributor to "The Legal and Technical Guide to the UK Oil and Gas Industry" (Published by Aberlour Press in 2009).

        Transactions on which David has worked include:

• the acquisition of the Dunlin platform and surrounding acreage for Fairfield Energy Limited from Shell, Exxon Mobil, Statoil and OMV;
• the acquisition of numerous producing and exploration assets for Centrica Energy Upstream (formerly Venture Production);
• the £246 million disposal in 2009 by ATP Oil and Gas UK of producing interests in Wenlock, Tors and related field areas to Energie de France; and
• numerous other upstream energy transactions in the UK, Italy, Poland, Trinidad, Australia and other overseas jurisdictions.
