This Book is a technical, commercial and legal guide to the UK oil and gas industry. It has been written by 44 authors, with contributions from some 20 companies, institutions and other organisations. The text combines introductions, in non-technical language, to all activities required to find and produce hydrocarbons, with analysis of the underlying contractual arrangments. The book takes the reader through the general principales of applying for licences in the UK, exploring for hydrocarbons, buying assets, raising money against those assets, the subsequent developmetn and operatiion , and eventual decomissionings.
